What it is
A seating chart sized for an easel by the door, with the olive sprig along the head of the board and the tables set out in columns beneath it. The template comes laid out for eight tables and the columns are grouped so that adding a ninth is a matter of copying one column, not redrawing the board.
The guest name cards are the same drawing at a twentieth of the size, six to a sheet so that a hundred and twenty of them come off twenty sheets of card. They are supplied flat: score and fold them yourself if you want them to stand, or lay them on the plate.
Both sizes of the chart are in the download. The A2 is there because plenty of venues have nowhere to stand an A1, and it is not a scaled-down A1 - the type is set again at a size that stays readable from a step away.
What you can change
- Every table name and every guest name
- The number of tables and the number of columns they are set in
- The heading at the top of the chart
- Text size on the chart, which is what you change if your guest list is long
How you change it
Open the link in the order email. Canva makes a copy of the template in your own account and leaves the original alone, so you can start again at any point.
Type over the wording: names, dates, times, the address of the venue, the reply-by date, the table names and anything else that is yours.
Move or resize the text boxes if your wording runs long. The drawings and washes are on their own layer and stay where they are unless you move them.
Export with Canva’s Share menu, choosing PDF Print with crop marks and bleed. That is the file your printer wants.
Cancelling, and what happens to that right
A buyer has fourteen days to cancel a purchase without giving a reason. That period is cut short only where the buyer asks at the checkout for the links to be sent immediately and confirms that this ends the right for what is sent. Neither box is ever ticked for you, and leaving both alone is a perfectly good order: the links then wait until the fourteen days are up. Either way, the rights that apply if a template is faulty, not as described or not fit for a purpose the shop was told about are untouched.
